Lady Julia Johnson
I greet you in that matchless name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is the head of my life.
I was born on September 20th in Richmond, Virginia to the proud parents of Larry and Andria Harris. I was reared and educated in Chesterfield, Virginia. I have one brother, Sterling Lee Harris Sr.
I was baptized in Jesus name in September 20, 1987 and received the Holy Ghost in October 1987; under the leadership of the late Bishop Benjamin Lewis of the Ebenezer Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Richmond, Virginia.
I married my long time friend and confidant, Brother Stefan R. Johnson, on July 23, 1988. We had known each other since junior high school. We have three beautiful children Stefan Ray Johnson Jr., Julius Maurice Johnson, Jasmine Mia Johnson.
My husband accepted his calling to preach the gospel in 1997. The Lord had awaken me and told me, “The reason why you all are going through is because he will not preach my word.” I called Stefan and asked him, “What did the Lord tell you to do?” He laughed. He then stated, “He has called me to preach his word.” He then answered the call and became an ordained minister in February 1998, under the leadership of the now District Elder Rodney M. Williams Sr. Once he accepted his calling that required me to walk in the next level in Christ. The war was on!!
In August 2002, I went into the hospital because I had a TIA (a type of stroke) and I had to receive a pacemaker. I was in the hospital for eight days and the doctors did not understand why a then 32 year old woman would have to go through this. The doctors tried all they could not to place the pacemaker in but the night before my heart rate had dropped to a dangerous rate. I was in CCU and my husband was at the end of the bed. I told him, “Babe something is not right.” My heart rate began to drop and I knew I was dying. I was at peace, did not have any worries at all but the Lord said, “Daughter it is not your time yet.” We sometimes wonder why we have to go through different trials and tribulations but I now know it is for such a time as this.
My husband became an ordained Elder in Columbia, South Carolina July 2009. We were not looking to go out any time soon but the Lord seemed to be pushing out of Strong Tower Pentecostal Ministries. On October 25, 2009, the word was given and the Lord had put his stamp of approval on now is the time. The evening of October 25th we had bible study and a lady had received the Holy Ghost and my aunt received her healing from cancer.
I currently have my Health Records Coding Technician Certificate. I stayed on the Dean’s List while attending J. Sargeant Reynolds; so for all the young and old you can do it too. I am currently attending Liberty University in pursuit of my B.S. in Religious Studies; I should be finished in middle to late 2012 with the Lord's help.
I became the First Lady of Greater Hope Ministries on January 3, 2010 and I am proud to be a servant. We are in the Western Diocese under the leadership of Bishop Thurman Hargrove, Mountain District under the leadership of District Elder Maurice Carter and our Regional leader is Apostle Wesley M. Taylor Sr. I am wearing many hats that the Lord has equipped me with. I believe in being personable with people and being able to be touched. I endeavor to be the best First Lady and Mother of the Greater Hope Ministries.
